This happy lion is truly a treasure! An enormous mane of rainbow colors has been hand-sewn onto his darling head in red, gold, green, blue, and plum. The great big smile and happy eyes have also been hand-sewn so that there are no parts to fall off. The body is made of ultra-soft premium minky fabric - so soft it will take your breath away! The long tail has a splash of rainbow colors at the tip and has been double seamed into the body so that even if play gets wild, the tail should not come off. This beautiful lion was created to be snuggled, loved, and played with endlessly. (And for that reason is can go in the washing machine and dryer!) It is about 12" long from nose to rump.

Sadly most of us will be touched by this disease in some way or another. The great thing though, is that research has really improved the treatment options and life expectancy. Now we need a cure. So $10.00 from the sale of each of "Grandma's Bears" will go directly to Breast Cancer Research. (Susan G. Komen Foundation) Even if you don't know someone with breast cancer, this is a pretty cute bear to have! It is made from premium curly minky fabric, and is super soft. It is stuffed softly enough to give really great hugs but is sturdy enough to sit up on its own. The eyes are acrylic with safety locks on the back, but may not be suitable for very young children, and hand sewn eyes are available upon request. The paws are made of a coordinating light brown minky, but can also be done in pink if you prefer.  The arms are pose-able but the legs and head are stationary for strength and durability.

His ears are lined with lime green satin fabric, to add interest and contrast in textures. He is 15 inches tall, and his arms stretch out to a full 15 inches to give great big hugs. I have hand embroidered his eyes and smile and he is 100% designed and handmade personally by me, Auntie Jill. And since all adored toys need washing at some point, this elephant can go in the washing machine and dryer on cool settings. I have also made this elephant in pink and with different colors for the ears, and will be happy to create it in any color you would like!
